Hulu’s “Deli Boys” Takes Over West Hollywood With OOH Ad Domination

Alchemy doesn’t just place ads; we create impact. Our recent campaign for Hulu’s new show, Deli Boys, proved this by dominating one of the busiest and most high-profile locations in Los Angeles: Sunset and Laurel in West Hollywood.

Hulu’s latest dark comedy follows two Pakistani-American brothers who inherit their father’s New Jersey deli, only to uncover his mysterious and possibly criminal past. A fresh and bold show like this deserved an equally striking presence, so we delivered a show-stopping OOH execution in one of the busiest areas of LA.

Sunset and Laurel: A Prime Spot for Standing Out

This isn’t just any barricade—it’s our most sought-after location in LA, and for good reason:

• Maximize Your Ads’ Visibility. Most of the traffic on Sunset moves east to west, from Hollywood proper to the Strip. Our barricade sits perfectly positioned to reach the highest volume of drivers and pedestrians.
• Reach Tourists and Locals With Your Messaging. While tourists from the Strip flood the area, there’s also a high concentration of locals, particularly on Laurel. This means repeat impressions for both one-time visitors and daily commuters.
• Take Advantage of Abundant Foot Traffic. Located next to The Laugh Factory, one of LA’s premier comedy venues, this unit benefits from a constant flow of people. On any given night, lines stretch down the sidewalk—right in front of our ad placement.

But it’s more than just a location that makes an ad stand out, it’s the production and curated executions that take a campaign to the next level. We took this campaign beyond a standard wild posting and made Deli Boys truly come to life.

Ads That Really Stand Out—And Up!

We physically broke through the standard ad space with Dibond extensions, extending the cast members’ heads above the barricade.

To further enhance the activation, we installed lit-up deli signage and window buildouts, creating the illusion of an actual deli on Sunset Boulevard. At night, these illuminated elements transformed the barricade into an immersive experience.

Engagement Beyond the Ad

The Deli Boys cast visited the site, taking photos in front of the unit and sharing them across social media, further amplifying the campaign’s reach. Pairing street-level advertising with mobile and online marketing ensures your ad will be unforgettable.
